An immersive stay in the heart of Chitwan National Park, alternating between on-foot jungle exploration, nights in the wilderness, encounters with Tharu communities and moments of local life, followed by a visit to the peaceful hilltop village of Bandipur. This unique experience takes you off the beaten track, deep into one of Asia's most biodiverse national parks.

Itinerary
Day 01 : Kathmandu – Sauraha — At the Gates of the Jungle
Early morning departure from Kathmandu by bus heading to Chitwan National Park. Arrival in Sauraha, check-in at the hotel/guesthouse along the riverside. In the late afternoon, first gentle immersion with your naturalist guide: leisurely walk along the Rapti River, bird watching and observation of the surrounding jungle. In the evening, traditional Tharu dance performance.

Day 01 : Kathmandu – Sauraha — At the Gates of the Jungle


Early morning departure from Kathmandu by bus heading to Chitwan National Park. Arrival in Sauraha, check-in at the hotel/guesthouse along the riverside. In the late afternoon, first gentle immersion with your naturalist guide: leisurely walk along the Rapti River, bird watching and observation of the surrounding jungle. In the evening, traditional Tharu dance performance.
Day 02 : The "20,000 Lakes" — Exploration of a Unique Ecosystem
Early morning departure for a day of exploration in the wild and preserved area of the '20,000 Lakes', accompanied by an experienced naturalist guide. Gentle walk through a landscape dotted with bodies of water, grasslands and tropical forests, a true sanctuary for birds, deer, and numerous endemic species. Picnic lunch in nature, in a peaceful and secluded setting. Return to Sauraha in the late afternoon.
Day 02 : The "20,000 Lakes" — Exploration of a Unique Ecosystem


Early morning departure for a day of exploration in the wild and preserved area of the '20,000 Lakes', accompanied by an experienced naturalist guide. Gentle walk through a landscape dotted with bodies of water, grasslands and tropical forests, a true sanctuary for birds, deer, and numerous endemic species. Picnic lunch in nature, in a peaceful and secluded setting. Return to Sauraha in the late afternoon.
Day 03 : Canoe, Jungle Trek & Tharu Immersion
Dawn departure for a traditional canoe descent down the river, a privileged moment to observe crocodiles, birds, and animals coming to drink. Beginning of the trek in Chitwan National Park, accompanied by a naturalist guide and his assistant. Walk through tropical forests, tall grasses, and wetlands, with possible sightings of rhinoceros, monkeys, deer, and numerous bird species. Picnic lunch in the jungle. Continuation of the walk to the village of Madi. Welcome by a local family and accommodation in a Tharu homestay. In the evening, traditional cooking class followed by a convivial dinner and cultural exchanges.

Continuation of the walk to the village of Madi. Welcome by a local family and accommodation in a Tharu homestay. In the evening, traditional cooking class followed by a convivial dinner and cultural exchanges.
Day 04 : Trekking in the Jungle — Wild Heart of Chitwan
Early morning departure by tuk-tuk for about 1.5 hours on dirt tracks, allowing you to reach a remote area of the park. Start of an immersive day of walking, accompanied by your naturalist guide and his assistant. Progress on foot through dense forests, high grasslands, and wetlands, reading animal tracks and observing wildlife. Picnic lunch in the jungle. Arrival in the late afternoon at an isolated observation tower, located in the heart of the jungle. Setting up, sunset walk around the tower, simple dinner, and total sound immersion in the tropical forest.
Day 04 : Trekking in the Jungle — Wild Heart of Chitwan


Early morning departure by tuk-tuk for about 1.5 hours on dirt tracks, allowing you to reach a remote area of the park. Start of an immersive day of walking, accompanied by your naturalist guide and his assistant. Progress on foot through dense forests, high grasslands, and wetlands, reading animal tracks and observing wildlife. Picnic lunch in the jungle. Arrival in the late afternoon at an isolated observation tower, located in the heart of the jungle. Setting up, sunset walk around the tower, simple dinner, and total sound immersion in the tropical forest.
Day 05 : Trek & Departure to Bandipur
Awakening in the heart of the jungle, unique atmosphere at first light. Observation of animals active at sunrise from the tower. After breakfast, walk back through the jungle to the park exit and end of the journey by tuk-tuk to Sauraha. Private transfer to Bandipur (about 5 hours drive). Free end of day to enjoy the calm of the village and the view of the Annapurna ranges.
Day 05 : Trek & Departure to Bandipur


Awakening in the heart of the jungle, unique atmosphere at first light. Observation of animals active at sunrise from the tower. After breakfast, walk back through the jungle to the park exit and end of the journey by tuk-tuk to Sauraha. Private transfer to Bandipur (about 5 hours drive). Free end of day to enjoy the calm of the village and the view of the Annapurna ranges.
