Their Story
Kids Education Nepal was founded in 2016 by a group of trekking guides and teachers who noticed the same story repeating in village after village: bright, curious children with no access to proper schools, textbooks, or trained teachers. What started as informal support for a handful of families in the Annapurna region quickly grew into a structured effort to keep children in school.
Over the years, the association has built partnerships with local schools, funded classroom renovations, and provided scholarships for students whose families could not otherwise afford tuition, books, or uniforms. Teacher training programs were introduced to improve the quality of education in remote areas often overlooked by national programs.
Today, Kids Education Nepal supports over a dozen schools across several trekking regions, reaching hundreds of children every year. Trekkers who choose to support this cause often have the opportunity to visit local schools during their journey, meet students, and see firsthand where their contribution goes.
